An innovative production steeped into the richness of tradition!

CHATURANG is an old and rare form of Indian classical music that represents any Raag in totality. Chaturang comprises the four components-Tarana, Sargam, Sahitya, and rhythmic syllables intricately and homogeneously woven together. In this composition, there are four different CHATURANGs from four different Raagas (Yaman, Jaijaywanti, Adana, and Bhairavi) with four different vivid weaves to each composition. These Raagas have their separate character, strong identity and blend together ....Like in the game of “Chaupal”. The four Chaturangs compete with each other, challenge each other, repartee with each other and playfully proceed to form a wholesome Union – “Chaturang ki Chaupal”!

She was a very creative artist and her creative instincts were always supported by an in-depth study of the subject at hand... what could be better homage to a person of her stature? This year the topic chosen for discussion is very unique, very interesting and thought provoking... It is suggested by Dr.Ashok Vajpeyeeji himself ...
